Asphalt Shingles
IKO in Austin, TX
Cambridge architectural shingles
IKO Cambridge shingles use a heavier fiberglass mat than most competitors in the same price tier. More asphalt per square foot means better granule adhesion and longer life. The Cambridge series also has a high-contrast color blend that gives the roof a dimensional look from the curb.
ArmourZone nailing area
IKO's ArmourZone is a reinforced nailing band with a visible blue line. Nail on the line and the shingle is locked in for a 130 mph wind rating. It is a simpler system than some competitors, and that simplicity means fewer installation errors on a big roof.
Value for out-of-pocket replacements
When insurance is not paying for the roof, every dollar matters. IKO Cambridge gives you a true architectural shingle with solid wind and impact performance at a lower cost per square than GAF or Owens Corning. We do not cut corners on underlayment or flashing to hit a price, we just use a product that costs less to manufacture.
IKO system warranty
IKO offers an extended warranty when the full system is installed by an IKO-approved contractor. We use IKO starter strip, underlayment, and ridge cap so your warranty is valid. The coverage is not identical to GAF's Golden Pledge, but for the price it is a strong value.

Financing options
Managing the cost of your roofing project
A roof or exterior replacement is a real investment. We make sure the payment side is not the thing that keeps you up at night.
Flexible monthly plans
Spread the cost of your project across manageable monthly payments instead of paying it all at once. We work with financing partners who understand that a roof or siding job is not a planned expense, it is usually an urgent one. Plans range from short-term payoff to longer terms that keep your monthly number low.
Don't wait for an insurance check
If your adjuster is still reviewing the claim or the payout is weeks out, financing lets us get the work started now. You stop the leak, secure the property, and pay the balance down once your insurance funds arrive. No tarp on your roof for a month waiting on paperwork.
Simple, upfront terms
Your estimator walks you through the financing application during the inspection, right at your kitchen table. No obligation, no hard credit pull until you decide to move forward. You see the rate, the term, and the monthly payment before you sign anything.
Works with insurance deductibles
Many homeowners use financing to cover their deductible portion of a storm claim, so the job does not stall on out-of-pocket cost. We coordinate the scope, the claim, and the financing so you understand exactly what insurance covers and what your plan handles.
Questions
IKO Shingles FAQ
Are IKO shingles good quality?
Yes. IKO Cambridge is a heavyweight architectural shingle that performs well in Central Texas. It is not as widely known as GAF or Owens Corning, but it uses a heavier mat and holds granules well. For an out-of-pocket replacement, it is one of the best values on the market.
How long do IKO shingles last in Austin?
IKO Cambridge shingles typically last 20 to 25 years in Central Texas. Hail can shorten that, as with any asphalt shingle. The heavyweight mat helps with durability, but no asphalt shingle is immune to large hail.
Is IKO cheaper than GAF or Owens Corning?
Generally yes, IKO Cambridge costs less per square than GAF Timberline HDZ or Owens Corning Duration. The warranty structure is different, but the performance is solid. If you are paying out of pocket, IKO is worth a serious look.
What is IKO ArmourZone?
ArmourZone is IKO's reinforced nailing band, marked with a visible blue line. Nailing within the zone locks the shingle down for a 130 mph wind rating. It makes installation faster and more consistent, which reduces the chance of wind blow-off.
