Why choose us
Why Austin homeowners call Nighthawk for gutters
Local crews, proven materials, and a standard we will not lower for speed or price.
Built on Central Texas ground
We have spent years working the neighborhoods between San Marcos and Temple. That means we know the hail tracks, the soil, the wind corridors, and the HOA rules on your street before we ever set foot on the property. When we quote gutters work, it is based on what actually happens to homes here, not a generic chart.
Materials we trust
We install products we would put on our own houses. Every material on this list is chosen because it holds up to Texas sun, hail, and wind, and because the manufacturer stands behind it with a real warranty.
- Seamless aluminum gutters (5" & 6")
- 3x4 oversized downspouts
- Micro-mesh leaf guards
- Baked-enamel color match
Committed to your property
The crew that inspects your gutters is the same crew that does the work. No subcontractor handoff, no middleman markup. We protect your landscaping, clean the site daily, and stand behind the finished job. If something is not right, you call us, not a 1-800 number.
Financing options
Managing the cost of your gutters project
A roof or exterior replacement is a real investment. We make sure the payment side is not the thing that keeps you up at night.
Flexible monthly plans
Spread the cost of your project across manageable monthly payments instead of paying it all at once. We work with financing partners who understand that a roof or siding job is not a planned expense, it is usually an urgent one. Plans range from short-term payoff to longer terms that keep your monthly number low.
Don't wait for an insurance check
If your adjuster is still reviewing the claim or the payout is weeks out, financing lets us get the work started now. You stop the leak, secure the property, and pay the balance down once your insurance funds arrive. No tarp on your roof for a month waiting on paperwork.
Simple, upfront terms
Your estimator walks you through the financing application during the inspection, right at your kitchen table. No obligation, no hard credit pull until you decide to move forward. You see the rate, the term, and the monthly payment before you sign anything.
Works with insurance deductibles
Many homeowners use financing to cover their deductible portion of a storm claim, so the job does not stall on out-of-pocket cost. We coordinate the scope, the claim, and the financing so you understand exactly what insurance covers and what your plan handles.
Seamless aluminum gutters
Rolled on site to the exact length of your run, so the only seams are at the corners and outlets. Fewer seams means fewer leaks. Baked-enamel finish in a color that matches your fascia.
Oversized downspouts
3x4 downspouts move nearly double the water of a standard 2x3. On a steep roof draining a wide plane, that is the difference between a clean flow and a waterfall over the front door.
Leaf guards
Micro-mesh guards keep oak leaves and cedar debris out so you are not on a ladder every fall. We install them pitched to shed, not to clog.
Sizing and water capacity
A 5-inch gutter handles about 1.2 gallons per foot. A 6-inch handles 2.0. The right size depends on your roof area, pitch, and the typical intensity of Central Texas storms. On a 2,000-square-foot roof with a steep pitch, a hard Austin cell can dump 30 gallons per minute. Undersized gutters overflow at the eave and dump water at the foundation. We calculate the drainage area and size the system to handle the storm.
Installation process
We install gutters with hidden hangers every 24 inches, screwed into the fascia board, not nailed. Every downspout gets a splash block or underground extension to move water at least three feet from the foundation. We pitch the gutter a quarter inch per 10 feet toward the nearest downspout so water moves instead of sitting. Seams are riveted and sealed at corners and outlets.
Questions
Gutters FAQ
What size gutters do I need?
It depends on your roof area and pitch. Most Austin homes do fine with 5-inch. Steep or large roofs need 6-inch trough and 3x4 downspouts to keep up with a hard cell.
Are gutter guards worth it?
If you have oaks or cedars over the roof, yes. Micro-mesh keeps the trough clear so water flows during the storm instead of spilling over a clog.
