Roof Replacement in Circle C Ranch After Hail

The Project

This Circle C Ranch home was hit hard by a May hailstorm that damaged roofs across the entire subdivision. The homeowners had already received a denial letter from their insurance company based on a quick adjuster inspection, but they knew the damage was real. They called us for a second opinion.

What We Found

• Widespread hail bruising across all slopes - the kind that doesn't leak immediately but fails within a year
• Granule loss in the gutters and at the downspout exits
• Dented vent flashing and pipe boots - clear impact evidence
• Cracked shingles at the ridge where wind-lift had compounded the hail damage

What We Did

We flew the roof with our drone and documented every damaged area with high-resolution photos and a written damage report. When the adjuster came back for a re-inspection, our foreman walked the roof with them and pointed out the bruised shingles, the dented metal, and the granule loss.

The claim was approved on the re-inspection. We tore off the old shingles down to the deck, replaced three sheets of damaged decking, and installed a full GAF Timberline HDZ system with Class 4 impact-rated shingles.

New synthetic underlayment across the entire roof, ice-and-water shield in the valleys, new step flashing, new drip edge, and new pipe boots. The homeowners upgraded to Class 4 shingles for hail resistance and a potential insurance premium discount.

The Result

The roof was completed in two days. The homeowners paid only their deductible. We've walked more hail claims through this subdivision than almost anywhere else in Southwest Austin, and we know what adjusters look for. The new roof carries a 50-year system warranty and Class 4 impact resistance for the next storm.
