100% SYNTHETIC DECKING

PVC decking, the cool, clean, stain-proof surface

PVC decking is 100% synthetic, no wood fiber at all. That means it does not stain, does not mold, and stays cooler than composite in the Texas sun. Azek and TimberTech make the best PVC boards on the market. If you want the lowest-maintenance, coolest-running deck surface available, this is it.

Why PVC over composite

Composite decking contains wood fiber, which can absorb stains and support mold growth in humid conditions. PVC contains zero wood fiber. It is fully synthetic, which means barbecue sauce, wine, and leaf stains wipe off. It also does not feed mold, which matters in Austin's humid spring and fall. PVC is the premium tier above composite.

Azek and TimberTech PVC

Azek, now under the TimberTech brand, is the leader in PVC decking. Their Vintage and Landmark collections have the most realistic wood-grain texture on the market, with none of the drawbacks of real wood. We install both lines with hidden fasteners and proper joist spacing for PVC, which is different from composite.

Stays cooler in the sun

PVC reflects more heat than composite because it has no wood fiber to absorb and hold temperature. On a south-facing deck in August, the difference is noticeable under bare feet. If heat is a concern, and in Austin it should be, PVC is the coolest-running decking material available.

Price and value

PVC is the most expensive decking option, roughly 30 to 40 percent more than composite. It is worth it if you want the absolute lowest maintenance, the coolest surface, and the strongest stain resistance. For a deck that gets heavy use, lots of sun, and food and drink, PVC earns its premium over time.

Financing options

Managing the cost of your decking project

A roof or exterior replacement is a real investment. We make sure the payment side is not the thing that keeps you up at night.

Flexible monthly plans

Spread the cost of your project across manageable monthly payments instead of paying it all at once. We work with financing partners who understand that a roof or siding job is not a planned expense, it is usually an urgent one. Plans range from short-term payoff to longer terms that keep your monthly number low.

Don't wait for an insurance check

If your adjuster is still reviewing the claim or the payout is weeks out, financing lets us get the work started now. You stop the leak, secure the property, and pay the balance down once your insurance funds arrive. No tarp on your roof for a month waiting on paperwork.

Simple, upfront terms

Your estimator walks you through the financing application during the inspection, right at your kitchen table. No obligation, no hard credit pull until you decide to move forward. You see the rate, the term, and the monthly payment before you sign anything.

Works with insurance deductibles

Many homeowners use financing to cover their deductible portion of a storm claim, so the job does not stall on out-of-pocket cost. We coordinate the scope, the claim, and the financing so you understand exactly what insurance covers and what your plan handles.

Questions

PVC Decking FAQ

Is PVC decking better than composite?

For stain resistance, mold resistance, and heat, yes. PVC is 100% synthetic with no wood fiber, so it does not stain, does not support mold, and stays cooler than composite. It costs more, about 30 to 40 percent above composite, but it is the premium tier and the lowest-maintenance option available.

How long does PVC decking last in Austin?

PVC decking typically lasts 30+ years in Central Texas. Azek and TimberTech PVC carry a 30-year limited warranty. Because there is no wood fiber, the boards do not rot, fade significantly, or break down in UV. The framing underneath is the limiting factor, which is why we build it to last.

Does PVC decking get hot?

PVC gets warm in direct sun, but it stays cooler than composite decking because it has no wood fiber to absorb and hold heat. For a south- or west-facing deck in Austin, PVC is the coolest-running synthetic option. Lighter colors stay cooler than darker ones.

Can PVC decking stain?

PVC is highly stain-resistant. Because it is 100% synthetic with no wood fiber, food, wine, grease, and leaf tannins do not penetrate the surface. Most stains wipe off with soap and water. This is the main advantage of PVC over composite, which can absorb stains through the wood fiber content.
