TREX COMPOSITE DECKING

Trex decks that never need staining

Trex is the most recognized name in composite decking, and for good reason. Their Transcend line carries a 25-year fade and stain warranty, the strongest in the industry. We build Trex decks with hidden fasteners, proper framing, and code-compliant rails so the surface stays clean and flat for decades.

Trex Transcend, Enhance, and Select

Trex has three main product lines. Transcend is the top tier, with a high-definition shell that resists fading, staining, and scratching. Enhance is the mid-range, with two color families and a more accessible price. Select is the entry level, still composite but with a thinner profile. We recommend Transcend for most Austin homes because the fade warranty is the strongest and the Texas sun is unforgiving.

Hidden fastener system

We install Trex with the Trex Hideaway hidden clip system. No screw heads on the surface, no boards lifting, no bare foot catching on a popped fastener. The clips hold the boards down while letting them expand and contract with temperature, which is critical for composite in Austin where a deck surface can swing 60 degrees in a day.

Framing that lasts as long as the boards

Composite boards last 25 years. If your framing rots in 10, you have a problem. We frame with ground-contact pressure-treated lumber, flash the ledger to the house, and set footings below the local frost line. The frame under your Trex deck is built to last as long as the decking on top of it.

Heat and composite decking

Composite gets warmer than wood in direct sun. Darker Trex colors like Fire Pit and Spiced Rum can get hot on a bare foot in August. If your deck faces south or west with no shade, we will steer you toward lighter colors or the Trex Transcend Tropicals line, which stays cooler than the Earth Tones.

Financing options

Managing the cost of your decking project

A roof or exterior replacement is a real investment. We make sure the payment side is not the thing that keeps you up at night.

Flexible monthly plans

Spread the cost of your project across manageable monthly payments instead of paying it all at once. We work with financing partners who understand that a roof or siding job is not a planned expense, it is usually an urgent one. Plans range from short-term payoff to longer terms that keep your monthly number low.

Don't wait for an insurance check

If your adjuster is still reviewing the claim or the payout is weeks out, financing lets us get the work started now. You stop the leak, secure the property, and pay the balance down once your insurance funds arrive. No tarp on your roof for a month waiting on paperwork.

Simple, upfront terms

Your estimator walks you through the financing application during the inspection, right at your kitchen table. No obligation, no hard credit pull until you decide to move forward. You see the rate, the term, and the monthly payment before you sign anything.

Works with insurance deductibles

Many homeowners use financing to cover their deductible portion of a storm claim, so the job does not stall on out-of-pocket cost. We coordinate the scope, the claim, and the financing so you understand exactly what insurance covers and what your plan handles.

Questions

Trex Decking FAQ

How long does a Trex deck last in Austin?

A Trex composite deck with proper framing will last 25 to 30 years in Central Texas. The Transcend line carries a 25-year warranty against fading and staining. The framing underneath, if built with ground-contact treated lumber, should last just as long.

Does Trex decking get hot in the Texas sun?

Yes, composite decking gets warmer than wood in direct sun. Darker colors get hotter than lighter ones. If your deck faces south or west, we recommend lighter Trex colors or the Tropicals line, which stays cooler. We will walk you through color choices based on your sun exposure.

Is Trex better than wood decking?

For low maintenance, yes. Trex never needs staining, sealing, or sanding. It will not splinter, rot, or warp. Wood decking like cedar looks beautiful and stays cooler, but it needs a seal coat every 2 to 3 years. If you want a deck you can enjoy without maintaining it, Trex is the right choice.

Can you put Trex over my existing deck frame?

Sometimes, if the framing is solid, level, and properly spaced. We inspect the joists, ledger, and footings first. If the joist spacing is too wide for composite, or if the framing is rotting, we replace or sister the joists. We will not lay composite over a failing frame.
